Today was the big day for the STLP State Championship Competition in Lexington, KY. Austin Tracy had two teams of students competing in different divisions! Our teams have been putting in hours of work these last few months getting ready for the big competition!
One team presented on their Student Help Desk project. This project has consisted of our students taking ownership of Chromebook Repairs in house! While the students are learning valuable skills, they are also helping keep our devices in the classrooms!
Our other team competed in the Sphero Hero Division! The team had to program a robot to respond to commands while navigating a challenging course! They also created a narrative to "tell the story" of their creation!
We are proud to report our Sphero Hero Team placed 2nd in the state! This is an amazing accomplishment!

This is a friendly reminder about the Bowling Green Hot Rods game this Sunday at 1:05 PM. The pre-game parade will begin at approximately 12:30 PM; please arrive a bit earlier if your children wish to participate. The game begins at 1:05 PM, but feel free to join us whenever you are able — we understand schedules are busy and want everyone to enjoy the day at the ballpark. There will be autographs after the game as well.

Thursday, May 21st and Friday, May 22nd will be our 2026 End of the Year awards celebrations at Austin Tracy Elementary. The deadline to apply for Summer Camp is quickly approaching! Don't miss out on this opportunity for your Kindergarten through 6th grade student!
As we approach the end of the school year, we are now opening summer camp enrollment! This year, the enrollment process will be different, because there will be a firm registration deadline. Enrollment is open now through April 30, 2026. Students must be registered by this date in order to attend Summer Camp.

Our students have a free opportunity to attend the Bowling Green Hot Rods game on Sunday, April 26 at 1:05 PM through Roscoe’s Reading Club. We have a ticket for each student in the building and extra student tickets are available for families who plan to attend and have additional children who would like to go. Students will be bringing home flyers with information today. Families who want tickets should return the second sheet of the flyer to school as soon as possible. Tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Adult tickets can be purchased online at https://www.milb.com/bowling-green/schedule/2026-04 for $14 or bought at the gate.
Students may also join the pre-game parade around the warm-up track and get autographs after the game. Thank you to Mrs. Willmes for helping with this opportunity. We hope a lot of our families will go have some FAMILY FUN at the ballpark!

The Dinner Table Project was created with the basic idea that families that eat together have better relationships. If children have better relationships with their parents and siblings, they are less likely to try drugs and alcohol. Children of families that share meals together also have better academic performance, higher self-esteem, a greater sense of resilience, lower risk of teen pregnancy, lower risk of depression, lower rates of obesity, and a lower likelihood of developing an eating disorder. We encourage families to eat together at least once a week with no electronics. These are great ideas to utilize for Spring Break!

Austin Tracy Elementary will be holding our annual talent show the last week of school. In order to participate, students will audition and practice with Ms. Alyssa, our music teacher. Auditions will take place on Thursday, April 16th from 3:00-4:30 pm. Students must have a permission form submitted in order to attend. If your child is interested in participating, please reach out to your child's homeroom teacher to request a permission form! We cannot wait to see the amazing talents that our Eagles showcase!

A few weeks ago ATE 5th Grader Paislee Gray approached Mrs. Willmes about wanting to put on a student art competition. Paislee worked hard to design fliers, communicate competition details, and organize over 40 entries! We are so proud of her leadership, and initiative, in providing an opportunity for students to showcase their talents!
